Quantum systems, simulated from the algorithm down to the qubit.

QuantIT designs quantum algorithms, builds qubit simulators, engineers error correction and models quantum hardware for research labs, hardware teams and companies preparing for quantum.

Services across the whole quantum stack

Nine practice areas, from circuits and error correction to Josephson junctions, ion traps and quantum networks. Pick one to see exactly what we deliver and the tools we use.

Quantum computing and algorithms

We design, optimise and benchmark quantum circuits for real problems in chemistry, finance and optimisation, then run them on simulators and cloud quantum hardware.

What we do

  • Circuit design, optimisation and transpilation for your target hardware
  • Core algorithms: Grover, Shor, quantum Fourier transform, phase and amplitude estimation
  • Variational algorithms: VQE and QAOA with tuned ansätze and optimisers
  • Quantum machine learning: quantum kernels, variational classifiers, hybrid models
  • Optimisation: QUBO and Ising formulations, quantum annealing
  • Quantum chemistry and materials: molecular energies, reaction paths, drug discovery
  • Quantum finance: portfolio optimisation, option pricing, Monte Carlo speed-ups
  • Hamiltonian simulation and quantum dynamics
  • Runs and benchmarks on IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket and Azure Quantum

You receive: Documented circuits and notebooks, benchmarks across simulators and hardware, and a written analysis.

Every engagement starts with a short scoping call.

Try a three-qubit simulator right here

Build a circuit, watch the state vector change, and measure it. This small version runs in your browser; the simulators we build for clients add noise, pulses, error-correcting codes and real device physics.

Gates

Pick a gate, then click a qubit wire to place it.

State of the qubits

Bar height is probability, colour is phase
Basis states read q0 q1 q2.

On each Bloch sphere, a full-length arrow means that qubit has a definite state of its own. When qubits become entangled the arrow shrinks toward the centre, because their information is now shared.

Seven qubit platforms, modelled in detail

From Josephson junctions to ion traps and spintronic memory, we simulate the physics that decides whether a device works, before anyone builds it.

Transmon qubit coupled to a readout resonator, with its lowest energy levels.

Superconducting qubits

Transmon, fluxonium and flux qubits, modelled from the circuit Hamiltonian to the chip layout and its readout resonator.

What we model

  • Energy spectra and anharmonicity for transmon, fluxonium and flux qubits
  • Chip layout with EM simulation of pads, resonators and couplers
  • Energy participation ratio and Hamiltonian extraction
  • Readout, Purcell filters and dispersive shift
  • Parametric amplifiers, including TWPAs

All device work is modelling and simulation. We work from your designs, measurements or published data and don't fabricate hardware.

Live models from our lab bench

Four small versions of the models we build for clients. Each one is running in your browser right now.

Rounds 0 Errors corrected 0 Logical qubit intact
Surface code decodingErrors appear on a distance-5 surface code, stabiliser checks flag them, and a matching decoder pairs the flags to repair the qubits.
Drive amplitude 0.00 Excited population 0.00 π pulse at 1.00
Pulse calibrationA DRAG pulse drives a transmon while we sweep its amplitude. The fitted Rabi curve tells us the amplitude of a perfect π pulse.
Photons sent 0 Shared key bits 0 Error rate measuring
BB84 key exchangeAlice sends polarised photons, Bob measures each in a random basis, and the photons where their bases match become a shared secret key.
Iteration 0 Energy – Exact −1.1373 Ha
VQE for hydrogenA variational circuit searches for the ground-state energy of H₂ and converges to the exact answer within chemical accuracy.

Not sure where quantum fits in your work yet?

Leave your email and we'll set up a 30-minute readiness call. We'll tell you plainly what quantum can and can't do for you today.

How a project runs

A clear path from the first conversation to working code, with something you can check every week.

  1. Scoping call

We talk through your problem, data and constraints, and tell you honestly whether quantum is the right tool.

  2. Proposal and estimate

A written plan: what we'll model, the compute or qubits it needs, milestones, timeline and cost.

  3. Modelling and simulation

We build and run the models, with weekly updates and notebooks you can run yourself.

  4. Validation and report

Results are checked against theory, published data or your measurements, then written up clearly.

  5. Handover and support

You get the code, data and documentation, plus training and optional runs on real quantum hardware.

Questions clients ask

Can't find your answer here? Ask us directly through the form below.

No. We model and simulate qubits, quantum devices and their control systems. We work from your designs, measurements or published data, and our results guide what you build or buy.

Yes. We run and benchmark circuits on IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket and Azure Quantum, usually through your own cloud account so you keep the results and the billing.

Source code, notebooks, data and a written report. The code is yours, and it's documented well enough for your team to keep using it.

Start with a readiness assessment. In one to two weeks we map your problems to quantum and quantum-inspired methods, and tell you which ones are worth pursuing now.

We sign an NDA before you share anything. If you need it, we work entirely inside your own infrastructure so your data never leaves it.

Yes. We help with thesis and paper simulations, run workshops and courses, and take interns onto real projects.
